Labor Day Weekend in Pemaquid

We found ourselves in Maine for the third straight Labor Day. We had a beautiful weekend, mostly filled with relaxing with Mom and Dad, watching sunsets, and eating lobster.

Over the weekend we went up to the Windjammer festival in Camden where we met a gentleman who built his own sailboat because all the pictures of ships he saw had beautiful women on them. Within 5 days of starting construction, he met a woman who later became his wife.  We also had fun watching the little kids run on the lobster crates before heading up to the park that overlooks the town of Camden for a picnic.

Back in Pemaquid we enjoyed the nice weather with a bike ride over to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. While Emily and Dad chatted, Rob wandered around the lighthouse taking photos. On the final night we all ate dinner at the lobster pound before being treated to a vibrant sunset and snacking on s’mores by the oceanside fire back at the house.
